XQuery 3.0 Rocks!

Although, in the beginning, XQuery was mainly used to query XML data within database systems, it has become a complete application programming language useful in a variety of architectures and environments.

Currently at the state of working draft from W3C, XQuery 3.0 is full of new languages features such as function items, annotations, try/catch, and many more.

The aim of this talk is to (1) briefly introduce some of the new XQuery 3.0 language features, (2) showcase how XQuery 3.0 and its family of specifications enabled developers to build great applications.
